Misfit Media is owned and operated by the married team Nicole Brydson, a media artist, writer, entrepreneur and native New Yorker, and Rhett Henckel, an actor with an Master’s in Fine Arts and lots of development and design skills originally from San Antonio, Texas.

Misfit Media works with all types of creative makers – artisans, artists, performers and producers – to get to the heart of a project’s objectives, direction and scope to develop a unique media and web development strategy to grow and convert organic interest into an interactive community.

The company was founded in January 2009 with the first iteration of BrooklynTheBorough.com, a multimedia digital journalism project based on a weekly column in the New York Observer by Nicole.

Since our founding we’ve created digital space for clients in a variety of creative fields and from our experience, developed the concept for our network interchanges.io. The interchanges network is a WordPress based media cooperative that supports artists and arts oriented organizations with digital content and commerce tools and hands on hosting services.

Misfit Media headquarters are in Brooklyn, New York and we also operate out of locations in San Francisco, California and Portland, Maine.

We would love to hear about what you’re working on. Write to Nicole or call 347-878-8847.
